What is the Mailbox Brigade?
Each holiday season, the Friends of Hasbro group of volunteers spread festive cheer and raise money for Hasbro Children’s Hospital by decorating local mailboxes with holiday greenery.
Who will decorate my mailbox?
The Mailbox Brigade is entirely volunteer driven, without volunteers, the Mailbox Brigade would not be possible. Currently, the Friends of Hasbro group is made up of women in Southern Rhode Island who generously donate their time and decorating skills.
When will my mailbox be decorated?
This year our volunteers aim to have all mailboxes decorated before December 13th.
Does my neighborhood participate?
This year participating towns are Newport, Middletown, Portsmouth, Jamestown, Tiverton, East Greenwich, South Kingstown, Smithfield, North Kingstown, Narragansett + Coventry. Door hangings are a great giftable option!
May I gift a mailbox or door hanging?
Yes, this is a great way to spread holiday cheer! Just note THEIR delivery address at checkout.
Does a volunteer remove my decoration?
Removal of mailbox decorations is the responsibility of the homeowner.
